What to Expect
Join us for an immersive evening around the fire in our beautiful woodland setting, designed especially for early years teachers, nursery practitioners, and educators who want to bring more magic, connection, and confidence to their outdoor learning.
This skills-based session will explore:
Fire & Food in the Early Years
Learn how to set up and manage a fire circle safely with young children
Try hands-on fire lighting techniques and cook a simple snack together
Explore the benefits of fire as a gathering space for storytelling and connectionStorytelling in Nature
Discover how to tell engaging stories outdoors using natural props and sensory prompts
Learn how storytelling supports language development, early reading behaviours, and imaginative thinking
Link storytelling to the EYFS Literacy area of learning through vocabulary building, narrative structure, and comprehension
Leave with a bank of story starters and woodland tale prompts to use in your setting
