Our ‘Made Outside’ sessions are practical, hands-on workshops for women, focused on traditional skills, natural materials and outdoor making, including botanical printing, indigo dyeing and willow weaving.

The Autumn Willow Wreath Workshop
Natural willow, traditional weaving techniques and woodland-inspired details in the GroWild woods.

Spend a Sunday morning learning how to weave your own circular willow wreath using natural materials and traditional techniques.

Set within the woodland, this is a hands-on workshop with most of the session spent weaving, shaping and adding the details that make each wreath your own. You’ll learn how to build the circular willow base before creating woodland-inspired additions, including woven leaves, little snails and miniature bird feeders.

Working alongside a small group of women, you’ll be guided through the process by The Coddiwomplers, experienced traditional crafts practitioners specialising in willow weaving, green woodworking and heritage woodland skills. They’ll introduce the materials and techniques before supporting you through each stage of the workshop.

Your finished wreath can be kept beautifully simple, or as a reusable base to decorate and change with the seasons.
