This September and October, we’re welcoming Rosalind from Act Out Education into the GroWild woods for a new series of Woodland Story Box Adventures.

Each session begins with Rosalind opening the Story Box to reveal a new world of props, puppets and characters. From there, children become part of the adventure themselves through movement, music, role play, crafts and imaginative play, with the woodland becoming the stage for a different story each week.

🌿 Fern Fairy and the Ribbon Tree | Tues 15th Sep

- Journey through the forest to help Fern Fairy rediscover her lost magic

🌀 Shape Shifters | Tues 22nd Sep

- Stretch, twist, jump and transform through movement and music

- Discover all the amazing shapes our bodies can make

- Search for shapes hiding in the woodland around us

🌈 Rainbow Jungle | Tues 29th Sep

- Discover what happens when the Tiger King steals all the colours from the jungle

- Search for the missing colours and explore the rainbow together

- Help bring colour back to the animals and plants through play, movement and storytelling

🐞 Bug Town | Tues 6th Oct

- Imagine shrinking down to the size of a minibeast

- Explore the woodland from a bug’s-eye view

- Discover Bug Town through movement, role play and forest-floor adventures

🪄 Weather Wizards | Tues 20th Oct

- Enter a world where spring, summer, autumn and winter have become completely muddled up

- Use imagination, movement and magical Wizard spells to put the seasons back in order

- Explore the sights, sounds and changes that make each season different

🌳 The Family Tree | Tues 27th Oct

- Celebrate all the different people who care for us

- Explore the idea that every family can look different

- Create a magical family tree together as part of the story

The forest becomes the stage, the children become part of the story, and no two adventures are quite the same.
