Our first summer holiday session brings the seaside into the woodland for a week of building, sensory play and coastal exploration. Your child can create boats, explore rock pools, experiment with moving water and learn about the creatures, materials and natural spaces found along the Norfolk coast.

Activities across the session may include:

-Boat building and sandcastle construction using crates, planks, cardboard, fabric and poles
-Barefoot sensory play with sand, water, mud and pebbles
-A water channel challenge to see if we can move water all the way to the sea
-Beach café role play, including a fish and chip shop and an ice cream stand with cloud dough
-Rock pool small world play with shells, stones and sea creatures
-A rock pool treasure hunt, collecting, sorting and comparing natural finds
-Beach clean-up play, exploring what belongs in a natural environment

Children will also explore:

-Salt painting using glue, salt and watercolours to create sea-inspired artwork
-Making colourful coffee filter jellyfish
-Cooperative building and shared outdoor construction
-Caring for natural spaces through hands-on play
